Facet Disease Treatment: Our 5-Day Process to Rediscovering Life without Back Pain

Facet Disease Treatment: Our 5-Day Process to Rediscovering Life without Back Pain

If you have facet disease, you are familiar with the deep, dull ache that radiates from your back to your legs, hips, shoulders, and arms. You also may experience stiffness throughout your back and neck, especially when you try to get out of a chair or turn your body. Facet disease also can lead to headaches and other symptoms that make it difficult to do anything except stay in bed. Being in this much pain can make anyone’s life miserable, so it goes without saying that men and women with facet disease are searching for a treatment that will provide them with the fastest relief possible.

At Laser Spine Institute, our number one priority is providing successful, safe, and minimally invasive treatments to people suffering from chronic back pain. Our commitment to helping our patients get their lives back led to our innovation of a streamlined 5-day process for our patients coming to LSI for laser back surgery.

For example, if you came to LSI for facet thermal ablation surgery to treat your facet disease symptoms, here is a brief outline of our 5-day process:

  • Day One - Physical examination, consultation about your symptoms and reported symptoms, electrocardiogram, blood testing, X-rays, and a new MRI if your current MRI results are more than 6 months old
  • Day Two - LSI surgeon reviews your MRI and X-rays for a thorough assessment of your condition and also a meeting with a nurse to answer your questions
  • Day Three - The day of your outpatient procedure while your family members or caregivers are welcome to wait in our cafe with catered meals, Internet-ready computers, and many other amenities
  • Day Four - Check into our physical therapy wing for a day of consultation and physical therapy treatment
  • Day Five - More physical therapy, examination and re-bandaging of your incision, and release from LSI to rediscover your life without back pain

After living with facet disease pain and stiffness for months or years, our patients say it is amazing that they can begin to have relief in less than a week through a gentle endoscopic procedure at LSI. To learn more about LSI’s revolutionary treatments and to receive a free CT scan or MRI review, contact us today.
